Summer Trends for Weddings
Summers are not usually the choicest time for weddings (read grand Indian weddings), especially with the scorching heat we often experience. However, as the saying goes, love knows no season, and many couples choose to tie the knot during these warmer months. This means that wedding fashion needs to adapt, embracing lighter fabrics, breathable designs, and colours that reflect the vibrancy of the season while keeping comfort in mind. For brides and wedding guests alike, navigating the summer wedding wardrobe requires a thoughtful approach. Let's explore some of the summer wedding trends that are likely to be popular in 2025, especially when it comes to the timeless elegance of sarees. At Singhania's, we understand how important it is to look graceful and feel at ease.
Summer weddings call for fabrics that breathe and colours that reflect the season's vibrancy. The Singhania's collection has embraced lightweight materials like organza, tissue, and chiffon that flow beautifully while keeping you cool. These fabrics create an ethereal effect as they catch the summer breeze, making them perfect for both day and evening ceremonies.
For brides, pastel-coloured sarees are dominating this summer. Soft pinks, mint greens, powder blues, and lavender tones offer a romantic yet contemporary look. The Singhania's collection features these delicate hues embellished with subtle silver and pearl work rather than heavy gold, creating an elegant shimmer without overwhelming the soft palette. Many brides are choosing ombre sarees that transition from one pastel shade to another, creating a dreamy, watercolour effect that photographs beautifully in natural light.
Floral patterns are making a major comeback this season, but with a modern twist. The Singhania's have incorporated three-dimensional floral appliqués on their bridal sarees, where small fabric flowers are attached to create texture and dimension. These botanical elements bring the essence of summer gardens to the bridal attire, especially when paired with a matching floral blouse design. Some designs even feature hand-painted floral motifs rather than embroidered ones, offering a more artistic and unique look.
For the contemporary bride who values both tradition and comfort, pre-stitched sarees from the Singhania's collection are gaining popularity. These innovative designs provide the classic saree silhouette without the worry of draping and securing the fabric throughout the celebrations. The pre-stitched versions come with thoughtful details like hidden pockets and adjustable waistbands—practical features for the modern bride who wants to enjoy her special day without fussing with her outfit.
Wedding guests will find the Singhania's collection offers versatile options that respect tradition while embracing current trends. Light cotton-silk blends and linen sarees in bright summer colours like coral, turquoise, and sunshine yellow create a festive look without the weight of traditional silks. These sarees feature minimal yet impactful borders with contemporary geometric patterns or abstract designs rather than traditional motifs.
Blouse designs have evolved significantly in the world of fashion. Cut-out backs, cape sleeves, and off-shoulder styles offer modern alternatives to traditional blouses. Many feature breathable cotton linings and minimal padding to keep cool during summer celebrations. Some blouses are designed to be worn separately with different sarees or even paired with western bottoms after the wedding, providing excellent value and versatility.
For destination summer weddings, the Singhania's have created a capsule collection of lightweight, wrinkle-resistant sarees that pack easily and maintain their shape after travel. These practical yet beautiful options ensure guests arrive looking polished regardless of the journey to the celebration.

Fabric Focus : Pichwai Fabric
For nearly 5,000 years, Indian craftsmen have used weaving, dyeing, painting, and printing to make beautiful textiles. One such traditional art is called Pichwai painting. The word "Pichwai" derives from "pich" (back) and "wai" (hanging), referring to the elaborate backdrop hangings created for Lord Krishna's temples, particularly in Nathdwara. These paintings originated in the 17th century when devotees of the Pushti Marg sect sought to honor Krishna in his Shrinathji form – depicted as a seven-year-old child with his left arm raised and right hand on hip.
Where Pichwai Started Pichwai art began in Nathdwara, a town in Rajasthan. It was first made by the Vaishnavas of the Vallabhacharya group to decorate temples. These paintings were hung behind the idol of Shrinathji, a form of Lord Krishna. The Jangad and Gauda communities in Nathdwara were the main artists. Some of these old paintings, made in the late 1500s, can still be seen in Nathdwara temples today.
What Pichwai Shows Pichwai paintings tell stories from the life of Lord Krishna. They show him as a child, playing with cows, dancing, or holding up the Govardhan hill. Other common designs include lotus flowers, cows, peacocks, and scenes from nature. These paintings are usually very colorful and detailed.
How It’s Made Pichwai art is done on cloth using natural pigments. The designs are first sketched, then painted carefully by hand. It takes a lot of time, focus, and skill to complete just one piece.
Pichwai Today Earlier, Pichwai was only used in temples. But now, these beautiful fabrics are also used on sarees, shawls, dupattas, and kurtas. Many designers and artists are working to keep this art alive by mixing traditional patterns with modern fashion.
In Short Pichwai art fabric is an important part of Indian culture. It is not only beautiful but also tells religious and nature-inspired stories.
Label Sailesh Singhania's - Gumān
The latest offering from the esteemed label Sailesh Singhania's arrives as a breath of fresh air, aptly named "Gumān," meaning pride or esteem - this collection is a celebration of the exquisite artistry emanating from the legendary textile hub of Banaras (also known as Varanasi). Gumān proudly presents a captivating series of pure silk Mushru sarees, specifically spotlighting the luxurious and often under-appreciated Mushru silk fabric. Mushru, which literally translates to "permitted" in Arabic, was traditionally woven as a clever alternative to pure silk for men who were prohibited from wearing it. Skilled weavers ingeniously combined silk and cotton threads in a specific ratio, creating a fabric that possessed the rich sheen and luxurious drape of silk on the face, while the cotton backing provided comfort and practicality.
The collection spans the spectrum from a regal purple masterpiece adorned with Mughal motifs and pink meenakari details to a flamingo pink creation that draws inspiration from Renaissance aesthetics with intricate floral jaal weaving throughout. For those drawn to cooler tones, the Juniper Green Pichwai silk saree pays homage to the revered art of Pichhwai painting with symbolic lotus and cow motifs woven with meticulous detail. Equally breathtaking is the Cruise Teal piece, where delicate floral motifs reminiscent of miniature paintings are scattered across the fabric like an artist's dream. The Periwinkle Pink Bird Motif silk saree showcases this dedication, featuring birds soaring gracefully across the fabric amidst delicate floral and fauna designs that flow seamlessly from body to border to pallu. Look at the Dessert Coral piece—the French Art Nouveau influences have been incorporated in the border while maintaining traditional asharfi butti designs with meena gradation, showing true artistic vision.
One of the collection's strongest selling points is how these sarees drape. The fabric flows gracefully around the body, creating an elegant silhouette that flatters all body types. Unlike stiffer silk varieties, these Mushru sarees move with the wearer, making them comfortable even for all-day wear at weddings and celebrations. The collection also includes matching blouse pieces, allowing buyers to create complete looks.

Best Organza Sarees for Bridesmaids
While all eyes are on the bride, the bride tribe— bridesmaids – deserve just as much attention. These special women have been there through thick and thin. They're not just friends but often feel like family. They need outfits that make them look gorgeous while still letting the bride shine brightest.
Organza sarees have become super popular for bridesmaids, with many brides searching online for "organza sarees for bridesmaids" every month. These light, flowy sarees work perfectly in any season and help bridesmaids look stunning while staying comfortable during the long wedding celebrations.
Why Organza Sarees Are Perfect for Bridesmaids
They Show the Special Bond
The bride's closest friends deserve to wear something that shows how important they are. Organza sarees are slightly see-through, creating a dreamy look that photographs beautifully. When bridesmaids wear coordinated organza sarees, they create a stunning visual effect around the bride—like a beautiful frame around a precious picture.
They Work in Any Season or Weather
Indian weddings happen year-round in very different climates & places. Organza sarees for bridesmaids work great in any weather:
Hot Summer Weddings: When temperatures go high, bridesmaids need to stay cool while helping the bride and participating in ceremonies. Organza is super light and breathable, keeping bridesmaids comfortable even in outdoor summer weddings. The fabric barely touches the skin, helping bridesmaids stay fresh all day.
Rainy Season Weddings: During monsoon season, organza sarees dry quickly if they get damp. They also keep their shape after drying, so bridesmaids look elegant even if caught in an unexpected shower.
Winter Weddings: In colder months, especially in North India, bridesmaids can pair organza sarees with warmer blouses and add a thin shawl if needed. They'll stay warm while maintaining that beautiful, flowing look.
Spring and Autumn Weddings: When days are warm but evenings get cool, organza provides the perfect balance—not too heavy, not too light.
They're Practical for Busy Bridesmaids
Bridesmaids aren't just standing around looking pretty—they're constantly helping with wedding tasks! Organza sarees make these duties easier:
Easy to Move In: Unlike heavy sarees with lots of embroidery, organza allows bridesmaids to move freely while looking elegant. This is super important when they're helping the bride dress, organizing family members for photos, or carrying items between ceremony locations.
Stays Looking Fresh: Organza doesn't wrinkle easily, so bridesmaids look neat from morning ceremonies through evening celebrations, even without time to fix their outfits.
Quick to Adjust: If the drape comes loose, organza sarees are light and easy to readjust quickly—perfect for busy bridesmaids who don't have time for major outfit fixes.
Trending Organza Saree Styles for Bridesmaids
Bridesmaids should look coordinated but not identical—after all, each friend is special in her own way! Let’s understand that.
Beautiful Color Combinations
Modern bridesmaids are moving beyond wearing exactly the same outfit:
Gradient Colors: A gorgeous trend is having bridesmaids wear organza sarees in different shades of the same color—light pink to deep rose, or pale gold to rich amber. This creates a beautiful rainbow effect in photos while letting each bridesmaid wear a color that suits her skin tone.
Complementary Colors: Another popular choice is having bridesmaids wear colors that look good together—like different jewel tones or pastel shades. Organza softens even bright colors, creating a harmonious look.
Matching Patterns with Personal Touches
Bridesmaids can show they're a team while keeping their individuality:
Similar Borders: Many bride squads choose organza sarees for bridesmaids with the same border design but different main colors. This creates a subtle connection between the outfits.
Shared Designs: Floral patterns or small design elements repeated across different colored organza sarees create a unified look while celebrating each bridesmaid's unique style.
Different Types of Organza
Not all organza looks the same—there are exciting variations:
Tissue Organza: Slightly stiffer with more shine, this type creates beautiful light effects during outdoor ceremonies or candlelit receptions.
Silk Organza: Softer and more luxurious, this type drapes beautifully for formal wedding functions.
Printed Organza: For modern weddings, sarees with subtle printed patterns offer bridesmaids a stylish option that stands out.
Embroidery Organza: And there are some organza sarees that comes with light embroidery designs or patterns, offering bridesmaids another option that looks equally beautiful.
How to Style Organza Sarees for Bridesmaids
Getting the perfect bridesmaid look requires attention to both beauty and comfort.
Blouse Styles That Show Connection
The blouse is a perfect way to create a visual link between bridesmaids:
Same Blouse Design: While saree colors might be different, identical blouse styles create a unified look. Popular choices include off-shoulder styles for evening events or high-neck designs for morning ceremonies.
Borrowing Elements from Bride's Outfit: Including small design details from the bride's outfit in the bridesmaids' blouses creates a meaningful connection—like using the same embroidery pattern in a smaller size.
Flattering Each Body Type: Letting each bridesmaid choose a blouse style that suits her shape while keeping the same fabric or color creates a coordinated look where everyone feels confident.
Practical Draping Tips for Active Bridesmaids
Since bridesmaids are constantly on the move, their sarees need to stay in place:
Secure Pleats: Create neat, even pleats and pin them properly to ensure the organza saree stays perfectly draped throughout the day.
Strategic Safety Pins: Well-placed safety pins can discreetly secure the drape, preventing any wardrobe malfunctions while bridesmaids help with various ceremonies.
Right Underskirt: Pairing organza sarees for bridesmaids with slightly stiffer petticoats helps maintain the structure while allowing movement—essential for bridesmaids who are always on their feet.
Accessorizing Bridesmaids
Accessories create another opportunity to show the special bond:
Matching Pieces: Many brides gift their bridesmaids identical jewelry pieces to wear with their organza sarees—perhaps the same earrings or bangles that become cherished mementos.
Coordinated Hair Flowers: Fresh flowers in the hair that match the bride's bouquet create a beautiful connection without requiring exactly the same hairstyle.
Meaningful Small Details: Little accessories with personal meaning—perhaps representing shared memories—can be added to make each bridesmaid's look special.
